British Sandwich Week

Did you know we Brits eat over 11.5 billion sandwiches each year? We even have a whole week dedicated our love of sandwiches - celebrating all those different types of bread and delicious fillings! This week, 14th-20th May, it is British Sandwich Week so grab your favourite packs of British charcuterie and get creative with some of our recipes. Be social and share you're favourite sandwiches with us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram! 

 

Wrapped Roasted Red Pepper & Cheese Sandwich

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

4 slices seeded bread
70g Black Combe Ham 
1 jar Roasted Red Peppers (drained)
50g Double Gloucester cheese
Salad to serve

 

Method:

  1. Place 2 slices of bread on a chopping board.
  2. Slice the cheese and roasted peppers and evenly cover the bread.
  3. Add the remaining slices of bread and line up with the base and the fillings. Cut in half and then cut each half into 3 pieces.
  4. Halve each slice of ham. Place them on a plate with each mini sandwich on top. Wrap the ham around and serve with the fold on the base.
  5. Serve with a fresh leafy salad.
